Juniors on Course ages 5-8
Juniors on Course runs in coordination with our US Kids Golf Programs. This day gives the kids a chance to get on the course and play 3 holes. They can use these days to pass their scoring tests, and get more experience playing on the course. This program will run on Monday evenings at 6:30 pm.
US Kids Golf Player Pathway Program Ages 5-8
Saturday mornings are group days for all levels. This is a great chance to practice and have some fun with your friends! US Kids Golf Player Pathway at Coyote Preserve is an excellent way for your junior golfer to learn golf skills in a fun, game-based learning environment. The Pathway Program uses guided levels with achievement pins to track progress through the stages of learning. The five focus areas are putting, around the green, full swing, knowledge, and scoring. 2026 Bay City Country Club - 17U Summer Program
We’re thrilled to announce that Bay City Country Club is joining the Great Lakes Bay Region 2026 PGA Jr. League as a host course! Whether your child is just starting out or already has a few rounds under their belt, this is the perfect opportunity for them to grow their skills, make new friends, and have a blast on the course this summer! Save the Date: The GLB Jr. League summer season kicks off with a Parent/Player Meeting on Monday, May 4th from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM. The meeting location is the Bay Valley Resort. Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss it! You’ll get all the details about the upcoming season and have the chance to ask any questions you may have. Who is it for? This league is perfect for players of all skill levels—from beginners to experienced golfers. Your child will receive top-notch coaching and have fun while improving their game! What’s in store for the season? • 10+ Practices throughout the season, each lasting 1 ½ hours, hosted by trained coaches. These practices will begin the week of May 11 -15. Times and locations vary depending on what course you register with. Bay City Country Clubs 17U teams practice on Thursdays 6p-7:30p starting May 14 and moving to Thursdays 8:30a-10:00a starting June 11. With 6 courses hosting teams there’s always time for practice! 6 Wednesday morning matches - June 10, 17, 24 and July 8, 15, 22. Wednesday July 29th is a rain day makeup or BONUS Fun Day! Matches will take place on Wednesdays from 8 AM – 10:30 AM and will be held at various host courses around the Great Lakes Bay region. Stroke Play Opportunities. Each season The Great Lakes Bay Region Jr. League hosts several stroke play events on top of our standard Jr league events. Christmas in July is a 9 hole family fun scramble where the whole family gets to play and prizes are handed out for best-dressed cart, team, etc. Golf is supposed to be FUN! Postseason Opportunities: At the end of the summer, multiple all-star teams will be selected to compete in the postseason, which could include the State Championship and possibly even Regional and National Championships! If your child is selected for the postseason and wishes to participate, there will be a small additional fee to cover the costs. This is a fantastic way for your child to develop their golfing skills, build confidence, and have a fun summer! Join PGA HOPE alongside your fellow Veterans and Servicemembers. PGA HOPE has served thousands of Veterans and Servicemembers across the United States through one of our 300+ locations. This introductory program is designed to welcome those of all ages, branches and eras of service, genders, and abilities to the golf course and share in camaraderie and fun together as a group. During this session you will learn the basics from grip to 9 holes of golf from PGA and LPGA Professionals. No golf equipment is required. Royal Oak Golf Center is proud to sponsor our 7th PGA Jr. League Team. The Royal Oak Golf Center Team is called “The Rangers”. There will be two teams: Travel Teams: 10-12 players per match who earn their way to play on each Travel Team event. This is determined by Coach Matt & Glenn by practices throughout the season; sportsmanship; as well as past performance in matches for those that have been on the Team. Development Team: These players have not yet earned a spot to play in a match. Travel Team and Development Team practice together. The goal is to improve golf fundamentals. Development Team players may earn a spot in an upcoming match. These players are all eligible to play in In-House matches at local public golf courses as well as any other playing opportunities that can be created throughout the season. They may play in away Travel Team matches as opportunities present themselves NOTE: 7 year olds may join the team but must be approved by Glenn first.
