Timby Jr League Summer Elite 13U
Team Timby 13U Elite PGA Junior League is Timberlin’s premier team-based junior golf program for competitive players ages 13 and under. This in-house league runs from mid-June through late July and offers a fun, supportive environment where players compete as a team while continuing their individual tournament schedules. New players or those moving to a different tee box must qualify, while returning national championship team members at the same tee box are exempt. With optional practices, All-Star play day opportunities, and a clear development pathway, Team Timby provides an exciting and well-structured PGA Junior League experience for families at Timberlin. LEAGUE OVER THE YEARS: 3rd Largest Program in US - 2025 5th Largest Program in US – 2024 8th Largest Program in US – 2023 4th Largest Program in US – 2022 \#GAMECHANGER Award Winner 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 LED BY PGA/LPGA PROFESSIONALS: Team Lyman will be represented once again by John Dipollina, PGA Member and #GAMECHANGER award recipient for 2019-2025, Alex Cavaliere, PGA Member, Bryan Mooney, PGA Member, Derek Snetro, PGA Associate, Isabella Fleury, Nichols College Women's Golf Captain and Montaevious White, PGA Associate. PRACTICES: Practices (6 to 8) will take place on weekday afternoons. Parents pick which day is best to practice from Monday or Wednesday. Simply email John Dipollina at jdipollina@lymangolf.com after registering. Please specify whether you would like Monday or Wednesday as your practice day. Practices will begin beginning after the conclusion of the CIAC spring golf season which is after the Memorial Day holiday. Exact times will be posted. MATCHES: Internal matches (6) will begin in mid-June. Exact match times will be posted the evening prior by the coaching staff. We ask all juniors/parents to RSVP to each match date well ahead of time so we the coaches can provide an exact time for your son/daughter to tee off. This will eliminate needless waiting around and allow your family to schedule accordingly. The matches will be played on either the Jones or Player Championship Courses. Players based on ability levels/age will compete from different sets of tees. Red tees will be encouraged for girls and beginners to intermediate boys. Gold tees will be encouraged for advanced boys. White/blue tees will be encouraged for returning 17U all-stars. ALL-STARS: All-star summer season will be an invitational event with a separate registration and corresponding coaching fee led by 2025 CT PGA Teacher of the Year Alex Cavaliere. The all-star season will begin after the July 4th holiday weekend and parents will be contacted individually. Weekly practices will be held. The 17U program will have three teams consisting of eight participants each. The teams will have the opportunity to represent Lyman Orchards in both the CT PGA Sectionals as well as the Lyman Orchards Play Day. Dates for the sectionals are August 10th and August 11th and will be held here at Lyman Orchards. Play day events have yet to be announced. If we are fortunate enough to advance to the regional competition as we were in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, we will participate in the regional competition from Friday September 18th through Sunday September 20th at Cranberry Valley GC in Harwich, MA. To play 17U all-stars you have to be b/w 14 and 17 years old as of August 1st, 2026. PLAYER KITS: Each player will be presented with their personalized player kit prior to the season’s first match. At registration you will see a charge for $120 which is the yearly PGA Jr. League membership fee. This fee will include two PGA Jr. League jerseys (new colors for 2026) and have the last name and favorite number on the back, a PGA Jr. League hat/visor, PGA Jr. League bag tag and a PGA Jr. League drawstring backpack. This registration fee is a one-time fee for 2026 and is not charged again if the junior plays in our fall or winter programs that will follow the spring campaigns. This year's Tallwood CC program will be run completely by Director of Golf Zac Stennett PGA Jr League has been at Tallwood League for 10 years now and we are driven to improve each year. his program is the perfect introduction into competitive golf for your son or daughter. We create a fun and positive environment for everyone. Practices will be held on Thursdays after school and matches typically fall on the weekend afternoons. Schedules will be sent out to all registered families as soon as teams are finalized. We start practice a couple weeks earlier than most programs to give you child an added head start and benefit to the program here at Tallwood.
