Supervised Practice (Tuesdays)

In this series of 1 hour supervised practices, learn to hone your skills the correct way by implementing proven practice techniques under the supervision of a PGA Professional. Your PGA Coach will set up and walk you through practice routines you can use to help bring your game to the next level. What's Included: In your first Supervised Practice, your PGA Coach will work with you to establish a baseline of your skills. Subsequent lessons will consist of either repetitive block practices, encouraging new skill development, or a variable practice used to test and challenge your new skills on the course. The Edison Club PGA Jr. League 17u

Ages 14–17, the PGA Jr. League will be led by Assistant Professional Jack Flanagan, along with an additional assistant. Weekly sessions will focus on skill-level–appropriate instruction in a fun and safe environment. Practices are on Tuesday afternoons from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at The Edison Club. Matches will be on the weekends, availability permitting. Schedule to be confirmed before spring.

Van Patten Chippers

PGA Junior League golf is a fun and social opportunity for boys and girls ages 13 and under to enjoy the game of golf. Like other recreation youth sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on a team with friends. Players compete in a popular two-person scramble format which reinforces the team concept and creates a nurturing environment to learn the game. The Van Patten Golf Club team will practice on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30. Matches will be played on weekdays and weekend afternoons. The match schedule will be posted later.

Van Patten Chippers 16U Team

PGA Junior League golf is a fun and social opportunity for boys and girls to enjoy the game of golf. The Van Patten Chippers 16U team will offer older juniors the opportunity to learn, practice and compete just the the 13U team. Ballston Spa Country Club Junior League

This program is perfect for all skill levels of golfers whether you are thinking about swinging for the first time or your have been golfing for years. In this program, juniors will learn all aspects on the golf swing in a FUN and laid back environment. Game Day Match Dates are TBD.

2026 Saratoga Golf & Polo Club Jr. League Program

Greetings Saratoga Golf & Polo Club families, As we approach the 2026 golf season we would like to update everyone on the SGPC – PGA Jr. League. Participation in the PGA Jr. League at our club is one of the most popular in the area and our participation numbers are growing. We look forward to building on our past success and providing a more enhanced experience moving into the future. With that said, we are now offering (2) categories to further enhance our junior golfer and parents experience. We have now formed the 9U Team and (new for 2026) the 13U Team. The 9U team will comprise junior golfers aged 5-9 and our 13U team will be comprised of players aged 10-13. This year we are planning to keep the PGA Jr. League in-house (like last season), like many other clubs do with a large number of participants. This means less travel for parents and our junior golfers and more time practicing and on the golf course. We will still conduct some of our matches at the Par 29 course at Saratoga State Park with other occasional matches held at SGPC. The price for 2026 PGA Jr. League will be $445 per child. Included in this fee will be the matches at Saratoga State Park along with an expanded practice schedule and the full PGA Jr. League Kit (jerseys/hats/bag tag/logo drawstring backpack and more). The goal is to provide junior golfers with an introduction to golf through a team concept and ultimately improve their skills to better enjoy the game. The 9U team will build significant skills to have our players graduate to the 13U team. I would strongly encourage parents to seek out additional private individual or smaller group lessons for their junior players with the golf professional staff for further development. Come Join our fun, growing Jr League program at the 13U level. We practice once a week on Tuesdays starting on Tuesday, June 2nd through mid August Practices are for 1 hour and are separated into 2-3 sections by age/ability (no more than 20 players per section) Matches start in Late June/Early July with some being at Brookhaven and a few potentially off-site at other facilities with All-Stars for those selected in Mid-August
