How much are Adam Scott's irons worth?

 

If you watched Adam Scott win the Honda Classic, you probably noticed the brand-new Scotty Cameron Futura putter in his hands all week. The uniquely oversized creation seems to be the answer he was seeking in his transition away from his longtime use of the anchored putting stroke.

 

What you might not have noticed were the irons he used to knock so many of his shots up onto the greens. While his putter is fresh from the factory, Scott continues to rely on a set of Titleist 680 MB irons, which made their debut more than a decade ago. That model has been in his bag for several years, and continues to prove that it belongs – Scott led the Honda field in hitting greens in regulation at 76.39 percent, and was second in proximity to the hole at 29 feet, 5 inches.

The 680 MB irons, designed for better players, feature a traditional, compact head with a long, deep blade to help create a flatter trajectory and improve workability. The irons are progressively offset down through the set to to help square the face where it's needed most. And the thin sole and slight camber increase the clubs' versatility in all types of lies.

The Titleist 680 MB irons made their debut at retail in 2003 with a suggested retail price of $1,080 per set. They currently have an estimated trade-in value of $118.80 and an estimated resale value of $290 per set, according to the PGA.com Value Guide and Trade-in Network.
