How much is Fabian Gomez's putter worth?

Fabian Gomez earned his breakthrough PGA Tour victory on Sunday with a bag split between brand new and tried and true. The newest of his brand-new clubs is his TaylorMade R15 driver, which he put in the bag just last week, and he is also using a new Taylormade Aeroburner TP 3-wood and R15 Rescue club.

In the tried-and-true category are his TaylorMade RocketBladez irons, which came out in 2013, and his Titleist Vokey Design SM4 wedges, which came out in 2012.  And perhaps most important, Gomez won the FedEx St. Jude Classic with a version of one of the most popular and best-selling putters of the last decade – the Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2.

The Newport 2 blade features a 303 stainless steel head with a soft beaded mist finish. The head has a high toe set-up with a plumber's neck hosel, full shaft offset, and circular weight ports in the sole on the toe and heel. It's also got Cameron's famous three large dots on the back of the head and three smaller dots on the heel of the face.

The Newport 2 made its debut at retail way back in 2008 (though Cameron has updated and expanded his Newport line in the years since) with a suggested retail price of $325. Newport 2 putters currently have an estimated trade-in value of $69.02 and an estimated resale value of $153.38, according to the PGA.com Value Guide and Trade-in Network.
