Disabled golfers take the stage at World Cup of Golf

Last weekend at the ISPS HANDA World Cup of Golf, the Disabled Golf Cup was held following the second and third rounds at The Metropolitan Golf Club in Australia.

Twelve players competed in the 36-hole invitational — six on Team Australia and six on Team World — and played under the same conditions as the Touring professionals from around the world.

The World team came out on top, but there were several moments captured that helped to inspire golfers of all abilities. 

Juan Postigo Arce showed off his swing that is about as smooth as Freddie Couples' swing.

And Manuel De Los Santos put a lot of things into perspective for us while also showing off his incredible abilities.

Adaptive golf allows golfers with a wide range of disabilities to compete anywhere there is a golf course. The largest segment of participants are those who have suffered a stroke and are having to cope with both the physical and mental challenges that trauma brings. Golf not only brings a way to physically recover but more importantly, an encouraging social outlet to recover mentally.
