While Tiger Woods the golfer made headlines during his much anticipated return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge, his design company, TGR Design, is making news with the opening of a new course in Mexico.

The thing about this course though is it’s not your traditional 18-hole championship style layout. The Oasis Short Course at Diamante in Cabo San Lucas is a hybrid short course that can be played as either 12 par-3 holes or a 3 hole setup featuring a par 4, par 3 and par 5.

Woods showed off the design on social media and it looks pretty awesome.

According to Woods, the par-3 course can be played in an hour and the three hole course can be played in less than an hour.

The short course design is part of a movement to bring golf to more areas and provide alternate experiences that involve less time commitments than a traditional 18 hole, 4.5 hour round.

This isn’t the first time Woods has created a shorter course alongside a traditional 18-hole setup. He also put in a 10-hole, par-3 course at his Bluejack National development that opened in March. The first shot to open The Playgrounds was an ace by 11-year-old Taylor Crozier.
