Adam Scott to pursue Australian golf triple crown again to end his season

MELBOURNE, Australia – World No. 2 Adam Scott will again pursue Australian golf's triple crown at the end of the year after narrowly failing to claim the elusive prize at home last year.

Scott confirmed Monday he will play the Australian PGA Championship and Australian Masters along with the Australian Open – at which he will meet top-ranked Rory McIlroy, who denied him the triple crown on the last hole in 2013.

Scott will attempt to become the first player to win the Masters in three consecutive years when he contests the event at Melbourne's Metropolitan Golf Club from Nov. 20-23.

He will play the Australian Open at the Australian Golf Club in Sydney from Nov. 27-30, and his triple crown bid finishes with the PGA Championship at Royal Pines Golf Resort in Gold Coast from Dec. 11 to 14.
