Rory McIlory, who has elevated his game during these PGA Tour playoffs, continued his strong play on Sunday at the PGA Tour Championship at East Lake.

Trailing by three shots with three holes to play, McIlroy took an aggressive line with a driver on the tight 16th hole. That left just a short, knock-down approach shot for his second.

Needless to say, he took advantage.

The eagle left him just one shot behind Kevin Chappell down the stretch, a deficit he erased with a clutch birdie on the 18th to shoot a tournament-low 64 and send the tournament into a playoff.
