McDaniel and Lee capture titles at 38th Junior PGA Championship

Tyler McDaniel of Manchester, Ky., and Amy Lee of Brea, Calif., captured titles in thrilling fashion Friday as both players sank championship-clinching putts on the 72nd hole. McDaniel finished at 10-under-par 274 total, while Lee – who was three shots back with three holes to go – finished at 5-under 279.

PGA Professional Valder eager to host his first Junior PGA Championship
John Valder, PGA head professional at Trump National Golf Club-Washington, D.C., has hosted some notable events in his seven-year career at the facility. As far as he's concerned, though, the 38th Junior PGA Championship will be the most prestigious since he arrived.

Trump National Golf Club-Washington, D.C., in Potomac Falls, Va., has been named the site of the 38th Junior PGA Championship presented by Under Armour and Hotel Fitness. The18-hole Championship Tournament Course was designed by Tom Fazio and fronts entirely on the majestic Potomac River.

The 38th Junior PGA Championship presented by Under Armour and Hotel Fitness, one of the nation’s premier events in junior golf, will be making its first visit to the state of Virginia when an elite field of 156 junior golfers descend on Trump National Golf Club - Washington, D.C. The Junior PGA Championship is where the best in the world get their start. Begun in 1976, the Championship has been a popular stop on the national junior circuit for many of today’s PGA and LPGA touring professionals. Notable past participants include: Tiger Woods, Inbee Park, Phil Mickelson, Cristie Kerr, Jordan Spieth and Alexis Thompson.
