Dunning Golf is the official outfitter of the U.S. Team at the 2026 Women’s PGA Cup at Carden Park Golf Resort in Cheshire, England. Over three days, five Americans compete against teams from Australia, Canada, Great Britain & Ireland, South Africa and Sweden in the only international team competition created exclusively for female PGA Professionals.
For Dunning, the partnership represents yet another pathway to support the PGA of America Golf Professionals who teach the game, run golf operations and shape the culture of the sport within their communities.
The 25-year-old brand has maintained deep roots at the club level, with its apparel available in approximately 1,600 golf shops. Dunning also works with 13 PGA of America Sections and supports PGA Retirement Plus, among other initiatives focused on PGA of America Golf Professionals .
“We are very supportive of the PGA Professional and the way they maintain the culture of the game and bring new people into it,” said AnnMarie Dodd, VP of Marketing for Tharanco Lifestyles, Dunning’s parent company. “The position they hold within their individual golf communities is really important to us.”
At its founding, Dunning drew inspiration from the technical fabrics used in cycling, recognizing an opportunity to bring greater performance to golf apparel at a time when cotton polos still dominated the course.
That philosophy remains embedded as a cultural pillar: Engineered for Athletes. Designed for Players.
“We’re the brand that brings together technical performance and sophisticated style,” said Christian Brunone, Dunning’s VP of Marketing. “We’re trying to be classic and timeless, elevating a golfer who cares about how they show up on the course – both how they look and how they play.”
That intersection of style and performance has already been tested on one of the biggest stages in women’s golf. Dunning outfitted the U.S. Solheim Cup Teams in 2021 and 2023, creating uniforms for the premier team competition in the women’s game.
For Creative Director Omar Jermaine, who was tasked with developing unique looks that honored branches of the U.S. military, the challenge was to deliver apparel that captured the energy of the Solheim Cup without losing sight of what the players were there to do.
“It’s easy to fall into just the story or theme, but you can’t forget that these are professional athletes out to do a task,” Jermaine said. “The DNA of this brand has always been about the athlete and how to achieve better performance for them.”
That experience and perspective helped establish the foundation for Dunning’s work with the U.S. Women’s PGA Cup Team.
The women’s collection is not adapted from a men’s line as an afterthought. The garments are developed around the fit, ergonomics and on-course needs of female athletes while carrying the same technical standards found throughout Dunning’s performance apparel.
“We take the care and work with players to understand what the needs are,” Jermaine said. “We consider all the things an athlete must have to perform and then style them appropriately.”
It starts with the fabric.
For example, the Women’s Player 2.0 Jersey Performance Polo uses COOLMAX® fibers designed to pull moisture through small channels and move it toward the surface of the garment, where it can evaporate. The result is a smooth, silky-to-the-touch polo that provides four-way stretch, moisture management and UPF 50+ protection without sacrificing a classic athletic silhouette.
“The canvas is the fabric and the style is the paint that goes on top of it,” he added.
Platinum satin piping adds a subtle point of distinction to the polo and reappears throughout the uniform script, creating continuity without overwhelming the clean design.
That balance continues with the Player 2.0 Tech Quarter Zip. This versatile layering piece is shaped to move naturally with the body, with a soft interlock fabric that delivers four-way stretch and comfortable coverage. It offers warmth when needed but retains the streamlined fit of a piece designed with the golf swing in mind.
Movement also drove the construction of the 16-inch Player Fit Pleated Skort. Made with Dunning’s unique performance twill, it includes side kick pleats and a compression jersey short liner. Ball pockets within the liner provide the practical storage serious players expect.
It is a seemingly small detail, but one that illustrates the thought behind the entire collection.
“We make sure the pockets are in the right place,” Jermaine said. “We take into consideration all the things that an athlete is going to need to perform.”
Players opting for pants will have two distinct choices.
The cropped 27-inch Player Fit Performance Pant offers a clean, modern line designed to avoid excess fabric gathering around the ankle. Four-way stretch supports unrestricted movement, while moisture-wicking fabric and UPF 50+ protection allow for long days of competition.
The white Player Fit Stretch Pant provides a slightly longer, tapered silhouette with an invisible side-zip waistband. Its four-way stretch twill is structured enough to create a polished team look but flexible enough to move freely through the swing.
Dunning has developed a reputation for its pants and shorts, and Jermaine believes their proprietary Player fabric is a key reason why. It is breathable, resistant to clinging and carefully weighted to maintain its shape in changing conditions.
Outerwear may prove equally important in the early September weather of northwest England.
The Glenbeg 2.0 Heathered Performance Vest is water resistant, so competitors can brush away the rain drops if they happen to get caught in a shower. It features textured ciré fabric with performance interlock panels, allowing it to protect against the elements without restricting rotation.
The full script reflects lessons learned not only through two Solheim Cups, but through years of developing apparel for golfers competing at the highest levels. Dunning currently works with PGA TOUR players including Russell Henley and Michael Brennan, giving the brand another proving ground for its approach to fit, fabric and function.
“We believe wholeheartedly that we are the best brand for the best in the game,” Brunone said. “This is an opportunity to get our products on the backs of players who are at the top of the game in their respective part of it.”
Jermaine, who brought experience in streetwear, tailoring, womenswear and even performing arts to his role at Dunning, understands that performance apparel ultimately has to be seen in motion.
“It’s one thing to see a garment going down the runway,” he said. “It’s another thing to see something you created on someone performing on the world stage at the height of their athletic abilities.”
That moment arrives this week at Carden Park.
As Team USA pursues its fourth consecutive Women’s PGA Cup, the uniforms will do more than create a cohesive look. Every stretch panel, pocket, seam and performance fiber has been considered to help five PGA Professionals move freely, manage the conditions and focus on the next shot.
Dunning designed the look. Now, the U.S. Women’s PGA Cup Team gets to bring it to life.
