Jim Richerson Statement on Passing of Golf Photojournalist Leonard Kamsler

The PGA of America is deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of legendary golf photographer Leonard Kamsler.
The inaugural recipient of the PGA Lifetime Achievement Award in Photojournalism, Kamsler died Wednesday at the age of 85.
"The PGA of America is deeply saddened by the passing of Leonard Kamsler, a pioneering photojournalist whose talented eye entertained and inspired generations of all who love the game of golf," said PGA of America President Jim Richerson. "Leonard, the inaugural recipient of the PGA Lifetime Achievement Award in Photojournalism, was the undisputed Dean of Golf Photography. Leonard's ability to capture signature moments and iconic portraits will forever be part of golf history. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends."
