The 2020 PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park is just over a week away and the excitement is building for the first major championship of the year.
PGA of America's Chief Championships Officer Kerry Haigh joined Andy Johnson on the latest episode of The Fried Egg to share his vision and set up for the event featuring the best players in the world.
"If you can set up a golf course to make players have to think what to do, they really enjoy playing the game — playing those courses that make you think and make you have to make decisions. And by doing that... I would say we have some of the most difficult locations possible on many of the greens, but at the right time and the appropriate time. We put the hole locations in places that allow the players or tempt the players to go out at those hole locations to, therefore, be able to score well," Haigh said on the podcast.
