PGA Family Golf Event

The teams will be practicing and playing at Bixby Village and we will introduce players to TPI JUNIOR training methods in order to create the athlete first and develop a team-type atmosphere in competition. We have had 3 other teams which agreed to play home-away matches throughout the year in Long Beach and Orange County. Our players will be taught how to keep score, the rules of golf, scramble and match play format, and proper etiquette. We will practice once during the week (probably Wednesday) and play 9 holes on Sunday. We will have assistant coaches who play college and high school golf to be mentors. This is a very fun program that is run nationwide and we are very excited to showcase all the skills you have learned and will develop at our academy.

Summer Season

**PGA HOPE is the flagship military program of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE is designed to introduce golf to Veterans and Active Duty Military to support their social, emotional, and physical well being.**

Join PGA HOPE alongside your fellow Veterans and Servicemembers. PGA HOPE has served thousands of Veterans and Servicemembers across the United States through one of our 300+ locations.

This introductory program is designed to welcome those of all ages, branches and eras of service, genders, and abilities to the golf course and share in camaraderie and fun together as a group. During this session you will learn the basics from grip to 9 holes of golf from PGA and LPGA Professionals.

- No golf equipment is required. If you do have clubs and/or any specialty equipment, please bring them with you.
- No prior golf experience necessary
- No VA disability rating required
- Veterans do not have to have combat or deployments in order to participate
- All expenses associated with PGA HOPE are covered

PGA HOPE Walnut Creek

The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, taught and led by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency and include clubs and equipment if needed, training aids, range balls and weekly golf course access. All programs are funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by PGA Section Foundations, so the cost of programming is free to all Veterans.

PGA HOPE is open to all Active Duty and Veterans regardless of disability and is at no cost to the participant. This is an 8-week program from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm that will culminate with a graduation ceremony on September 30th. We know life does happen, but we hope you can make most, if not all, class sessions. This program will cover swing fundamentals, short game, and course management.

New PGA HOPE participants have priority for registration.

Equipment: Clubs will be provided as needed.
