COLLEGE GOLF EXPOSURE CAMP 2024

INFORMATION:

New Jersey National Golf Club has partnered with the New Jersey PGA to bring junior golfers an opportunity to understand the college process from recruiting through graduation. Junior golfers will interact with college coaches during simulated practice and on-course play. Golfers and their parents will be able to attend a seminar to help them navigate the recruiting process and understand the life of a college golfer.

DESCRIPTION:

• Dates: Tuesday, July 23 & Wednesday, July 24

• Cost $550 (includes welcome gift and prizes)

• Simulated college golf practice session and skills contests

• 9-hole practice round & 18-hole tournament round with college coaches observing and interacting with golfers

• Low golfer to coach ratio (4:1)

• Professional instruction

• Maximum of 24 golfers

• Recommended ages: 13-18 (golfers interested in playing college golf)

• Dinner & Seminar Only: $60 per person (for parents wishing to attend with camp participants)

SESSION SCHEDULE:

Day 1:

• 2:00pm-2:30pm Registration

• 2:30pm-2:45pm Welcome and Introduction

• 2:45pm-3:45pm Practice session and skills contests

• 3:45pm-4:00pm Shuttle Golfers to holes

• 4:00pm Shotgun Start

• 4:00pm-6:00pm Play 9-holes in a simulated practice round with college coaches providing feedback

• 6:00pm-8:00pm Dinner and seminar with college coaches and college players

• Explanation of the recruiting process

• Best practices in selecting and contacting prospective schools

• Pros and cons of social media

• Creating a golf resume

• Proper balance between academics and golf

• The life of a college golfer

• Transfer portal

• Matching your effort to your goals

• Managing expectations

Day 2:

• 8:00am-9:00am Check-in and warm-up

• 9:00am-10:00am Tee Times - Tournament Round with college coaches observing and providing feedback

• Camp will conclude following the completion of the tournament
