Men's Clinic Series - Fairway Metals & Hybrids
Fairway Metals & Hybrid Performance Clinic
This clinic is designed to help golfers hit fairway woods and hybrid clubs with greater confidence, consistency, and control—both off the tee and from the fairway or rough. These clubs play a critical role in bridging the gap between driver and irons, and mastering them leads to better distance gapping and more scoring opportunities.
The clinic focuses on proper setup fundamentals, including ball position, stance width, posture, and alignment to promote solid contact and a shallow angle of attack. Players will learn how fairway woods and hybrids are designed to sweep the ball, not dig, and how to strike the ball first with minimal turf interaction.
Instruction will cover common ball-flight issues such as thin shots, tops, hooks, and blocks, along with how clubface control and swing path influence launch and curvature. Golfers will learn how to produce reliable straight shots as well as controlled fades and draws when needed.
Practice drills will emphasize centered contact, low-point control, and maintaining width and balance through impact. When available, launch monitor feedback will be used to evaluate launch angle, spin rate, carry distance, and dispersion patterns to help players optimize performance with each club.
The clinic also includes on-course strategy for fairway metals and hybrids—when to use them off the tee for accuracy, how to select targets into greens, and how to manage risk from various lies. Players will leave with improved confidence, better distance control, and a clear plan for using fairway woods and hybrids to set up lower scores.
