Osgood Junior Golf Program 2026 (June Session)

Each session will be one hour in length. 10 total sessions starting Monday June 8th ending Monday June 29th (Every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

Sessions will include 30 minutes of instruction from a PGA associate teaching professional Christian Stensgard, followed by 30 minutes of playing golf assisted by Christian and his instructors. This will take place on the 3-hole practice loop at Osgood.

Fundamentals of the game of golf will be the emphasis of the teaching curriculum.

Week 1

(Putting) Grip, stance, posture, alignment and distance control with the putter will be the focus.

Week 2

(Chipping & Pitching) Grip, stance, posture, and alignment will be the bedrock of creating sound contact when the full swing is introduced the following week.

Week 3

(Full swing with irons, fairway metals and driver) Students will apply the grip taught in week 2 to this week, while changes to the set up will be introduced to make a full turn and strike the golf ball.

Week 4

**(**Final session) Students will be putting the previous 3 weeks together in a tournament simulation on the 3-hole practice loop, where all facets of the game will be put to the test.
