Have yourself a day, Justin Rose.

In the wee hours of the morning of Moving Day at the 147th Open Championship, Rose had a round to remember.

His score of a 7-under 64 matched the course record low in a major at Carnoustie Golf Links.

And to think he was one shot away from watching the weekend at home.

Rose nearly missed the cut Friday, but a clutch putt on 18 for birdie in Round 2 — his only hole under par on the day — got him to 3-over and just inside the cutline.

He started Saturday's round the same way he left off, with a birdie on the first hole. Before the round was over, he would birdie six more in a bogey-free round of golf. Rose's 7-under sprung him all the way up the leaderboard to a tie for sixth place in the clubhouse.
