A Quick Nine: Which club, or clubs, would you upgrade?

The cold weather months are just about behind those of us in places where a brutal, snow-covered winter is the norm. Finally, our dream of heading back to the golf course is about to come to fruition.

As is the case each year, golf manufacturers have released their latest lines of clubs, which a lot of us can't wait to get our hands on. For others of us, we wouldn't even think of replacing that one, sorry looking, eyesore of a club in our bags because it's our golf version of old faithful. You love that particular club and will never part with it because it's come through for you in the clutch more times than you deserved.

Other clubs, however, could use a serious upgrade. For this week's, 'A Quick Nine,' feature, we asked you to fill in the blank again: I'd like most like to upgrade my…

Here are the top 9 answers we received from our loyal PGA.com Facebook fans:

1. "Irons. I am playing with Taylormade Burner Oversized I purchased in 1997. I have been told by PGA pros that I could probably be a single digit handicap if I just updated my irons." -- Robert Ford

2. "My driver/woods, my Strikers are old and pretty small by today's standards. I'd like to get some Ping G15's. I've tested them and like the way they hit, plus would be a nice match to my old reliable Ping-Eye 2's!" -- John C Joossens

3. "I'm not sure if this qualifies as an 'upgrade,' but I need a whole set of clubs since mine were stolen from me in my last move. It appears as though my brother, who was helping me move, left them in the driveway of my old house. But, I didn't realize this until much later when they were long since gone. Any of you guys replacing your old clubs, I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands!" -- Michael Robinson

4. "My Driver. First, because I had it custom made and my younger brother liked it so much he stole it. Second, because I need one custom made for my height and my swing speed. Actually, I need a complete new set, custom fit, but could not afford them. Yea I know, cry me a river." -- Brian Monahan

5. "Would have to say my putter would be No. 1 on my list. The putter I have (a Ping) is the putter I bought when I first started playing golf 23 years ago. I suspect that some of the more technologically advanced putters MIGHT be able to help me putt a LITTLE better." -- Jim Orr

6. "Wedges. I think updating wedges in my bag to a CG15 would give more control around the greens and comply with the groove rule I have to follow in my tournaments, and hey, who doesn't like to see a shot spin back 8 feet from 100 yards?" -- Alec Patsey

7. "Wedges. When it really comes down to it, you score around the greens. It's always a nice feeling when you know you have a club that can hit the shot you need, especially from a hundred out and in. I love my Vokey's." -- Travis Quinoa

8. "If I were to upgrade a club I would upgrade my putter. I have no particular replacement in mind but would chose to replace my putter for psychological reasons. It's the most used club in the bag and is connected to the part of the game that will more often then not make or break a good score. If I have something in my hand that screams fantastic, it will give me the confidence I need to steady hand and to always put enough into the ball to roll it past the hole, if not in of course." -- Wes Bullock

9. "My ball retriever... Thinking of getting a 15-foot aluminum telescoping JP Lann. My 5-foot model is good, just want to get those deep ones back." -- Brian Nowak
