It's been an interesting opening event of 2017 for Rory McIlroy at the BMW SA Open.
He started with a strong opening round of 67 as he broke in his new clubs in tournament play, but then injured his back during the second round and wasn't sure if he would be able to continue playing into the weekend.
His scorecard hasn't been the cleanest, but moments like the 7th hole on Saturday have kept him in contention at three strokes behind leader Graeme Storm and playing in the final group Sunday.
