Andy L. Gaither, PGA
Director of InstructionIn 2014 Andy was voted the PGA teacher of the year in all of Orange County and LA County. He started his teaching career at Doral Resort & Spa in Miami FL under the direction of Jimmy Ballard. He moved to California in 1990 when selected by Jim Colbert to help head the teaching school at Tustin Ranch Golf Club. He has been in California ever since working at Super Sports driving range in the City of Orange where he implemented different teaching programs and developed successful junior golf camps and schools. In 2014 he brought his expertise and skills to Black Gold Golf Club. He now serves as Director of Instruction at the facility. As a student of the game, he has worked with some of the best instructors in the world: Jimmy Ballard, Hank Haney, Mac O’Grady, and Mike Bender. He has taken the best from all of these instructors to develop his own teaching style. To help a golfer attain a simple and efficient golf swing, he uses the JC Video system with each lesson to provide instant feedback.
