Durwyn Williams Jr. was introduced to the game of golf at the age of 6 by his father and has since developed a lifelong passion, playing the sport for over 30 years. As a junior golfer, he excelled in the game, eventually leading his high school team to the Texas Regional Championship twice. His success continued into college, where he played Division 1 golf. Durwyn’s journey as a professional golfer and golf instructor began when he enrolled in Campbell University’s PGA Professional Golf Management Program.

After completing his studies, Durwyn took a break from the golf world to pursue a successful career in the music industry in Los Angeles. However, during the pandemic, the industry came to a halt, prompting him to return to his roots in professional golf. He spent two years competing on the APGA Tour, dividing his time between playing professionally and teaching the game.

Durwyn’s passion for teaching grew while instructing at GOLFTEC, where he quickly realized he wanted to offer a unique customer experience. This led him, alongside his brother Matthew—a Class A PGA Professional—to create NEWGeneration Golf in Houston, Texas. Their facility brings a fresh, creative approach to golf instruction, focusing on providing a new and innovative experience for golfers of all levels. With over 30 years of experience playing golf and more than a decade of teaching, Durwyn offers a dynamic and modern perspective on how golfers can experience and receive instruction.
