George J. Roy IV, PGA
Director of InstructionGeorge is the founder of George Roy Golf, and has been a professional golf coach since 2010. He was elected to PGA membership in 2014, and has since served as a Director of Instruction at Breton Bay Golf&CC in Leonardtown MD, the Grand Reserve GC in Palm Coast, FL, and Royal Saint Augustine GC in Saint Augustine, FL where he’s coached both amateurs and professionals. While in MD, George devoted his time to coaching golf to wounded veterans, through SMGA, as a rehabilitative outlet for both PTSD and severe physical injuries. The challenge of teaching adaptive golf inspired George to study beyond the normal scope of golf instruction and deeper into the fields of Neuroscience, Motor Learning, and Skill Development. In 2016, he launched the award-winning LowZone training system which has been utilized in coaching programs across 14 countries and has since created the training games Chip-Tac-Toe and Fore2. He now lives in the Sequatchie Valley of TN, where he and his wife are raising their children on a traditional homestead, and has plans to build a private academy on their property in the future. As the father of 3 young children and a coach in multiple sports, George has a keen understanding of how to build an engaging learning environment that helps students overcome challenges and excel in their performance.
Motto "Forged through Adversity"
Philosophy An instructor tells you, a teacher helps it make sense, and a coach guides you through the process. As a coach who's seen some extremely challenging scenarios on the lesson tee, I realize that no two students are alike. That's exactly why I strive to ensure an effective individualized training plan that's just as unique as you are. My goal is to be there every step of the way, guiding you through the process, and helping you grow your skills for improved performance and more on-course enjoyment. Whether you're a seasoned professional looking for that next layer of refinement for competition and tournament play, or an untrained amateur simply looking to hit it better on the weekends, I can help you reach your goals.
Helping players achieve their goals.
