Matt Sandquist has spent more than 17 years building a well-rounded career in the golf industry, with experience across both public and private facilities. He is a graduate of Ferris State University and earned his Class A PGA Membership in 2019. Matt currently teaches full time at Edina Country Club, where he is passionate about helping players of all skill levels improve their games.

As a competitive golfer, Matt has qualified for three PGA National Championships and has consistently ranked among the top 20 Minnesota PGA Professional Player of the Year Points Standings, reflecting both his dedication and high level of play.

Matt’s teaching philosophy is centered on the individual golfer. He begins by understanding each player’s skill level and identifying their primary areas of frustration. From there, he creates a clear and personalized plan designed to address those challenges and drive meaningful improvement.

Video analysis plays a key role in Matt’s instruction. Using video feedback allows him to closely examine swing mechanics and pinpoint technical adjustments that align with each student’s goals. This approach helps golfers build long-term consistency and confidence in their swings.

What Matt values most is the relationships he has built during his seven years of full-time teaching. He considers it a privilege to guide his students, celebrate their progress, and watch them grow over time both on and off the course.
