Nick Mills, PGA
PGA Instructor and FitterI have been blessed to have a lifetime involved in the great game of golf. From being introduced to it by my father and playing with him until his passing, to achieving some success playing the game, to learning how to help others improve and enjoy their games more, my relationship with the game of golf has always been very strong.
Having now taught for decades and thousands of students I have seen about all kinds of swings and players, however every day and every lesson I find to be a new adventure. I often say I've never given the same lesson twice as each student brings now abilities and limitations, learning styles, thoughts and feelings, and those things can change over time for each student as well. I do not beleive there is one right way to hit a golf ball and everything else is wrong but there are better and more efficient ways for each individual. I endevour to develop a plan with each student that takes into account many things. I want to know how they feel about there game now and what they would like to achieve, what are their strengths and weaknesses as well as any limitations they may have. Do they like to go play, are they a range rat, or do they enjoy a mixture of both. I want them to think about and tell me their expectations of themselves and me in this journey to improve.
With an understanding together of what the plan is we then work on all parts of the game from tee in the warm up on the range to tee in the ground to putt dropped, from strategy to emotions, from practice efficiency to golf fitness, and any other facet of the game we can possibly improve. I strive to stay in touch with students through text, email, and teaching app when they are not in the lesson bay with me to remain aware of their progress. Hopefully we create a team type relationship to improve their playing of the game and thus, more importantly their enjoyment of the game.
