Angela Schmelzer is the Director of Field Operations, bringing a rich background and deep passion for golf to her role. Her journey in the golf industry began in Kentucky where she competed in golf throughout high school and completed the PGA Golf Management Program at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU). Angela graduated in 2011 and was soon elected to PGA membership.

Angela’s career in the golf industry began as an Assistant Golf Professional at Bardstown Country Club in Kentucky, where she managed youth golf programs, provided private lessons, administered tournaments, and offered merchandising support. In September 2013, Angela joined the PGA of America as a League Specialist in the Player Engagement department. She supported the day-to-day operations of the PGA Jr. League field staff. In 2017, she advanced to the role of National League Manager, where she supported six of twelve Regional League Managers on the East Coast. She was crucial in helping PGA Professionals enhance their value through coaching and programming, including PGA Jr. League, PGA.Coach, and PGA Family Cup.
