Benjamin Constancio
People should choose me as a coach for many reasons, but above all, because I have a genuine passion for developing each player’s natural ability. My years of experience as a junior, collegiate, and professional golfer have shaped my teaching style, one that is patient, encouraging, and direct. When you work with me, you’ll gain access not only to my own nearly 20 years of golfing experience, but also to the knowledge passed down from the many coaches, mentors, and teachers who have helped me grow throughout my career.
My golfing journey began at The First Tee of Greater Austin, where I progressed through the Par, Birdie, and Eagle curricula under the guidance of Dave Baron, PGA Master Professional. I eventually advanced to the Ace program and competed in most of the major junior tours throughout Texas.
In 2012, I was nationally selected for the First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academy at Hofstra University. I later attended the 2015 Players Advanced Academy at the University of Nevada, Reno, and the 2015 Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach and Poppy Hills, where I finished T-3rd alongside my professional partner, Wes Short Jr.
I earned a golf scholarship to St. Edward’s University, where I competed from 2017 to 2020. During that time, I played in both the Heartland Conference and later the Lone Star Conference following the program’s transition. Unfortunately, the golf program was cut during the COVID-19 pandemic, but I remained at St. Edward’s to complete my studies, graduating in 2021. Over my collegiate career, I recorded fifteen top-ten finishes, one individual win, and achieved a 72.85 scoring average during my sophomore season.
From August 2021 to May 2023, I joined the Concordia University Texas MBA cohort, competing for the men’s golf team in 2021–2022 and later serving as a graduate assistant for the men’s and women’s programs during 2022–2023. We competed as part of the American Southwest Conference.
Since 2023, I have been involved in a custom golf glove company, focusing on driving sales and building brand awareness, while simultaneously working at several private golf facilities across Central Texas, including Spanish Oaks, Barton Creek, and Cimarron Hills.
As of August 2025, I am proud to be educating the Central Texas community as a Teaching Golf Professional at The Golf Driving Range in Round Rock, while continuing to serve green-grass facilities and universities through Crosswind’s premium golf glove line.
