I grew up around the game of golf. My Grandfather, George Vatke,was the head PGA Golf Professional at Monroe Golf Club in Rochester, New York for over 45 years. My grandfather was my first golf instructor and taught me how to play the game. I also learned the business of teaching the game from him. He was frequently on the lesson tee with his members, or his many other students from across the state. It was this that inspired me to become a PGA Professional myself. Now with over 30 years experience in the business and teaching golf across the country with some of the top golf schools and mentoring under some other great instructors such as Bob Toski, John Jacobs Golf Schools,Pine Needles Golf School under Peggy Kirk-Bell and Pinehurst Resort Golf Academy with Eric Alpenfels. I now provided golf instruction and coaching in the Chicago North Shore area at Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center during the summer season and Pinehurst, NC during the winter months.
