Cameron Sjolund
Assistant Golf Professionalassociate
As a dedicated PGA Coach, I specialize in short game progression, focusing on helping golfers develop the essential skills needed to lower their scores and elevate their overall performance. The short game is often the difference between a good round and a great one, and I work closely with each player to build strong fundamentals, strategic thinking, and mental resilience around the greens.
I work primarily with high school and college athletes, guiding them through the process of securing athletic scholarships to JUCO, NAIA, and NCAA schools. With a deep understanding of the recruiting process and what college coaches are looking for, I help students refine their games and present themselves as strong candidates for collegiate programs. I am passionate about helping young athletes achieve their goals, whether that’s earning a scholarship or simply taking their game to the next level. In addition to guiding athletes through the recruiting process, I also help them understand and take advantage of current NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) opportunities in college sports. As the landscape of college athletics evolves, it’s crucial for athletes to know how to navigate and capitalize on NIL deals. I work with student-athletes to educate them on the value of their personal brand, how to connect with potential sponsors, and how to manage NIL opportunities responsibly and effectively. By empowering athletes with the knowledge and tools to make the most of these opportunities, I help them enhance their collegiate experience both on and off the course.
Throughout my career, I have accumulated extensive experience and personal accolades that inform my coaching approach. I have earned 3 professional wins in the Central Washington Chapter, showcasing my competitive drive and in-depth understanding of the game. Additionally, I’ve qualified twice for the prestigious Antigua Cup, a testament to my consistency and high-level performance. My college golf journey includes 4 years of play, starting with 1 year at the University of Idaho before transferring to Columbia Basin College for 3 years. I’ve competed in PGA Tour and US Open Qualifiers, providing me with invaluable insights into the challenges of professional-level competition and the mental toughness required to succeed at the highest levels.
I offer coaching at an affordable rate of $50 for a 30-minute lesson, providing personalized, hands-on instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals. Whether you’re striving to make a college team, improve your short game, or simply lower your handicap, I am here to help you unlock your potential and take your game further. With a combination of technical instruction, course management strategies, and mental coaching, I strive to create a positive and effective learning environment that encourages growth and success.
Let me help you reach your golf goals, whether that’s playing at the collegiate level, understanding NIL opportunities, or simply enjoying improved performance on the course. My experience, both as a player and coach, gives me the insight and skills to help you improve quickly, and I look forward to helping you succeed.
