Gary G Cardoza Jr., PGA
Director of InstructionGary Cardoza Jr is a member of the PGA of America and has been coaching golfers for over 20 years. His singular purpose with any student is improving their overall performance on the golf course by adopting a long-term focus on their entire game including the physical conditioning and mental aspects of the player. In addition, Gary is also a member of the Proponent Group, a community of accomplished teaching professionals from around the globe. The member network includes more than half of the GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teachers, more than 150 PGA section Teachers of the Year, more than a dozen PGA National Teachers of the Year and the owners and operators of over 50 golf academies worldwide. He has also been recognized as a Top 25 teacher in New England by New England Golf Monthly every year since 2009. Gary was humbled to be nominated for the Golf Digest Top 100 Teachers listing of Top Teachers by State for the 2013-2014 list, 2015-2016, and again for the 2019-2020 list. He was also nominated for NEPGA Teacher of the Year for 2016 and 2020.
Gary's takes a holistic "whole golfer" approach to coaching the game. In addition to teaching and coaching proper techniques based around the current physical traits, conditioning, and natural movement patterns of the player in front him, he also trains the mental game and spends a large amount of time whenever possible actually on the golf course playing with clients to get a much clearer picture of their overall game. This enables him to also make sure that whatever swing adjustments you're working on are actually translating to the golf course in the real environment. There's a difference between playing golf swing and playing golf.
Among Gary's current clientele are juniors who have competed in the US Kids World Junior Championships, multiple Drive Chip and Putt qualifiers, collegiate players including D1 schools, and many of all ages who simply love to play this great game and learn as they go. As of this writing, his youngest client is 4 while his oldest client is 86.
