Jared A. Cross
Assistant Golf Professional and TPI Level 2 Instructorassociate
Hi, I'm Jared Cross. Golf has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember, and one of the most rewarding parts of my career is helping others enjoy the game and achieve their goals. I began my journey through the PGA of America's Professional Golf Management Program in 2024 and have continued to expand my knowledge of instruction, player development, and coaching through both PGA education and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certifications. I became TPI Level 1 Certified in 2021 and have continued to build on that foundation ever since. Today, I hold TPI Level 2 certifications in Golf, Fitness, Junior Development, and Power. These certifications have given me a deeper understanding of how mobility, stability, strength, power production, and movement patterns influence golf performance. They allow me to identify physical limitations that may affect a player's swing and create coaching strategies that fit the individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. I currently teach at St. Johns Golf Club, where I work with golfers of all ages and skill levels, from juniors picking up a club for the first time to experienced players looking to lower their scores and play more consistent golf. My goal is to create a positive, welcoming environment where students feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and developing confidence in their game. One of the biggest influences on my coaching philosophy is the TPI Body-Swing Connection™. Through my TPI education, I've learned that there is no single "perfect" golf swing. Every golfer has unique strengths, mobility, stability, and movement patterns that influence how they move the club. Rather than forcing students into a specific swing model, I focus on helping them build a swing that works efficiently for their body while maximizing performance and reducing the risk of injury. In addition to private instruction, I have experience leading junior golf programs, PGA Jr. League teams, Operation 36 player development programs, group clinics, and on-course coaching sessions. I am passionate about growing the game and helping juniors develop both their skills and their love for golf. I also enjoy working with adult golfers who want to improve consistency, gain distance, sharpen their short game, or simply get more enjoyment out of the game. As both a PGA Associate and TPI Certified Instructor, I am committed to lifelong learning and continued professional development. Golf instruction is constantly evolving, and I strive to stay current with new teaching methods, technology, and player development strategies so I can provide the best possible experience for every student. No matter where you are in your golf journey, my goal is to help you understand your game, develop a clear path toward improvement, and enjoy the process along the way. Whether you're looking to break 100, break 80, gain clubhead speed, improve your physical performance, or help your child get started in golf, I'd love the opportunity to help you reach your goals. I look forward to seeing you on the lesson tee!
