Jim H. DeLaby III, who has been teaching golf since 1986, is a certified Life Coach, certified First Tee Coach and a 30 Year Life member of the PGA. In 1984 Jim was an All-American and member of the 1984 National Champion CSU Stanislaus Warriors Team. He is a two-time Teacher of the Year, Northern Chapter SCPGA (1996 & 2003) and 2001 Club Fitter of the Year, Northern Chapter, SCPGA. Since 2008, Jim has been invited to co-host ESPN Golf Talk Radio with Mike & Billy, several shows a year

Prior to coming to the Central Coast, Jim was the Head Golf and Teaching Professional at La Purisma Golf Course from 1990 to 1996. From 1996 to 2000, He acted as Director of Instruction for the Teacher Certification Program at the Professional Golfers Career College. He then ran the Cypress Ridge Golf Academy from 2000-2006. With the help of Avila and Blacklake Golf Courses from 2006 to 2009, Jim co-created and ran the popular Golf C.A.R.E. Program. Past PGA Director of Instruction for the Monarch Dunes Golf Academy. Though still available for instruction at Monarch Dunes, he now, focuses on development of future inventions, books, podcasts, blogs, and You Tube Channel, coming in the near future.

Jim, who works with all levels, has honed in his specialty to help the confused, time starved, baby boomer, amateur or pro golfer. At 60 years of age, still shooting in low 70s with NO PRACTICE or RANGE BALLS, as of 2022, Jim is a pro golfer right handed and a proficient left handed amateur golfer. Because of the left handed development, he knows exactly what every level is going through, and many of his innovations and breakthroughs unseen in the industry are because of this and prayer focus.

Not only does Jim work with all levels of golfers from juniors to seniors, and beginners to advanced, he also has been involved in helping many other golf teachers’/coaches' hone in their skills. Training his many golf coaches over the years to not only coach but play better, his seminars for golf teachers include Club Fitting, Wally Armstrong Certification.
