Jim has been a Class A member of the PGA for 24 years and has been playing for 40 years. Currently Director of Instruction at Mallard Creek Golf Club. Before that,Jim was the Head Golf Professional at Columbia Hills Country Club from 1997-2013. Competitively, Jim has played in many tournaments in Florida and Ohio, was a member of the Bowling Green State University Taxi Squad golf team and played high school golf at Canton GlenOak. Jim attended The Golf Academy of the South earning a degree in Golf Management. A major emphasis is placed on studying the golf swing during this two year degree. Combining his knowledge of the golf swing with his 23 years of teaching experience, Jim has developed a keen eye for the faults and fixes of golf swings. Jim’s teaching philosophy is to treat each golfer individually. He develops a swing or recommends swing adjustments based on each person’s abilities. He tries to keep his lessons fun, positive and encouraging. Jim uses computer video in every lesson.
