Joe Dolby, PGA
Joe is an award-winning PGA Swing Instructor and NCAA Men's Golf Coach with over 15 years of experience coaching players of all ages and abilities. While coaching at Santa Clara University and Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Joe developed his players to win conference titles, play in national championships and pursue professional careers on the PGA Tour, Kornferry Tour and PGA Americas Tour. Joe uses swing data from Full Swing and Trackman and strokes-gained analysis from Clippd to develop customized plans to optimize his players' performance.
In addition to coaching college golf, Joe has extensive experience in Youth Player Development through PGA Jr League, after school programs and summer golf camps over the past 13 years as a PGA Professional. In 2022, Joe was nominated for the NCPGA Youth Player Development Award, thanks to the incredible success of the PGA Jr League programs he directed at Shoreline Golf Links, La Rinconada CC and Palo Alto Hills CC. Starting as young as 6 years old, Joe's private students and graduates from his teams have earned college scholarships at the Division I, Division II and Division III levels.
Before becoming a PGA Professional, Joe attended college at UC San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, while also competing for 4 years on the Men's Golf Team and leading UCSD to their first ever appearance in the 2004 NCAA Divison II National Championship. After his college career, Joe played mini-tour golf full-time for 2 years, and now competes extensively in the Northern California PGA Section.
Joe is the winner of the 2009 and 2011 NCPGA Assistant Professional Player of the Year, and the 2013 NCPGA Assistant Professional of the Year awards, and is consistently one of the best players in the Northern California PGA Section, winning over 20 professional golf tournaments.
Joe's family includes his wife, Alisa and his two boys, Asher (Age 12) and Luke (Age 10), who are rising young athletes following in their father's footsteps.
