I has been the Director of Golf for La Iguana Golf Course at Los Suenos Marriott Ocean and Golf Resort in Costa Rica for 20 years. Under my direction, La Iguana Golf Course has become a world-class golfing destination attracting golfers from around the world. My passion for golf began when he was 12 years old. I spent weekends and every free moment at the Cariari Country Club caddying to help support my way through high school and college. It was by observing the better golfers and playing every chance I could that I was able to improve my game. I graduated from the Latin American University of Science and Technology with a degree in Hotel Administration and Tourism. I became a golf professional at 22 years of age and continued my education in golf in Port St. Lucie, FL at the PGA Learning Center where I received my title as PGA Class A and my degree in Golf Management Program. I also have a certification on General Management. I has been Golf course superintendent association member since 2006 I am also a Teaching Professional. My teaching philosophy is to accommodate any person with the desire to learn or improve their golf game. I teaches based on principles, laws and preferences that allow golfers to understand the cause and effect of their golf shots. I believe that if a player understands where the ball goes, why it goes there and what they need to do to correct mistakes, they will perform well whether their teachers are there or not. My instructional methodology includes measuring the golfer?s strength, flexibility, balance, and hand-and-eye coordination. This process ensures that an individual golfer?s skill capabilities will be adapted to maximize their potential?no matter what their physical limitations. Besides having conducted clinics for men and women of all ages, I founded and I am President of Challenge Golf of Costa Rica. In this capacity, I and my staff have taught hundreds of physically and mentally challenged people the skills of golf. I have a thorough knowledge of golf swing mechanics and the ability to quickly assess and correct troublesome areas for golfers of all skill levels.
