PGA Professional and General Manager at Preston Golf and Country Club in Preston, ID. John has served on the Rocky Mountain Section Board of Directors for 14 years.

He was named the Golf Professional of the Year in 2018 and 2007. John is a Certified PGA Professional in Executive Management. John has played on ten Carter Cup teams for the RMSPGA. He also played in the PGA Professional National Championship held at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA in 2011 and qualified for the 2020 Championship that was canceled due to the pandemic, He also participated in the Senior PGA Professional Championship in 2021 at Port St. Lucy, FL, and 2022 in Albuquerque, NM. He currently holds the course records at Rupert Country Club(61) and Preston Golf and Country Club(58). John played collegiate golf at Utah State University. He is also the coach of the Preston High School boys and girls golf teams and was coach of the year in 2021, 2022, and 2023 for the IHSAA fifth district.

John loves to help golfers achieve their goals both on and off the golf course. He is available for both private and group instruction. He has robust junior golf and women's programs. John provides instruction on the short game, course management, on-course instruction, and mental aspects of playing and competing as well. He is a TPI certified instructor and has golf level 2 , fitness level 2 and junior level 2 certifications.
