Karrie is a native of Vermillion, South Dakota. She started playing the game of golf at the age of 12. Karrie’s passion for the game grew throughout her high school years, and led her to join the Coyote Women’s Golf Team at The University of South Dakota, where she played for four years. After earning a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Recreation and Business Administration, Karrie began her career as an Assistant Golf Professional at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion, SD. She also spent time as an Assistant Professional at Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, MT, First Assistant Professional at Dakota Dunes Country Club, and now as Head Golf Professional at The Ridge Golf Club. Karrie, her husband Dan, and son Kaden are proud to call the community of Sioux Center home and are excited to be part of The Ridge Golf Club. Karrie feels that the most enjoyable part of being a golf professional is helping others to enjoy the game of golf.
Karrie received the 2015 Youth Player Development award from the Nebraska Section of the PGA for her contribution to junior golf programs at The Ridge Golf Club. Most recently she was also given the honor of 2017 Assistant Golf Professional of the Year, also from the Nebraska Section of the PGA.
