He began his coaching career in high school when volunteering to coach a community ed recreational basketball team, but he knew than he wanted to be a coach. He first thought coaching basketball was his path, but his passion for golf soon pulled him in another direction.

Kelly is a PGA teaching professional with over 20 years teaching experience. Along the way he has had the opportunity to learn from and study many of golf’s top coaches and instructors including: Gene Bone Sr. (Michigan PGA Hall of Fame Member), Ron LaParl (Michigan PGA Hall of Fame Member), Fred Shoemaker (Extraordinary Golf), Jim Flick, Dr. Greg Rose, Dave Phillips, Henry Brunton, Dr. Rick Jensen, Mark Sweeney (Aimpoint), James Ridyard, Mike Bender, Martin Hall, John Graham and many more. He is continually learning and educating himself on new and old teaching methods to better develop a system that will produce results for his students.
