Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy on teaching golf is built on clarity, fundamentals, and long-term enjoyment of the game. I believe effective instruction should simplify golf rather than complicate it, helping players understand why the ball does what it does and how to improve in a way that fits their ability, goals, and time commitment.
I do not teach a one-size-fits-all swing. Every golfer brings a unique set of physical abilities, experiences, and expectations to the game. My role as an instructor is to identify what works for each player, reinforce sound fundamentals, and guide improvement through clear priorities rather than excessive technical detail.
Instruction begins with the fundamentals—grip, posture, alignment, and setup—because these elements form the foundation for consistent ball striking. From there, I focus on ball flight and cause-and-effect, helping golfers understand how swing tendencies influence results. Changes are introduced gradually, with emphasis on repeatability and confidence, not perfection.
I believe improvement should transfer from the practice tee to the golf course. Lessons are designed to include practical drills, decision-making guidance, and strategies that support on-course performance. Golfers should leave each session with a clear plan, a better understanding of their swing, and the confidence to apply what they’ve learned in real playing conditions.
Equally important, I believe golf should remain enjoyable and approachable. Whether working with beginners, returning players, seniors, or experienced golfers, my goal is to create a learning environment that is professional, encouraging, and free of intimidation. Progress is measured not only by improved scores, but by increased confidence, consistency, and enjoyment of the game.
At its core, my teaching philosophy is simple:
Teach the fundamentals clearly, respect the individual golfer, and provide instruction that leads to lasting improvement and enjoyment.
Helping players achieve their goals.
