Matthew R. Dito, PGA
Golf Teaching ProfessionalI was born in Daly City and raised in Petaluma, where I played primarily soccer and baseball. My love for golf didn’t truly develop until 1995, after completing an internship at the Marriott at Sawgrass Resort. I’ve been working in the golf industry since 1997 and have been a PGA of America member since 2005. In 2015, I discovered my true calling in teaching and coaching full time.
Drawing on the teachings of Eddie Merrins, Dave Pelz, Tim Mahoney, and Stan Utley, my unique coaching style emphasizes sound fundamentals, efficient body movement, and proper swing sequence, while engaging each student to set and achieve their personal goals. I believe the best progress comes when learning is fun, and I strive to create an inviting environment where golfers of all ages and skill levels can develop a lifelong love for the game.
When I’m not on the lesson tee, you can find me playing with the members at Silverado or competing in NCPGA Senior Association events.
