My name is Matthew Lollar. I grew up in Kansas City and am a diehard Kansas Jayhawks fan. After graduating High School and realizing my dream of skateboarding professionally was going nowhere, I decided to enlist in the US Army Infantry in 2004. It was in between my 3 tours of combat that I took up the game of golf and fell in love with the sport. I served a total of 11 1/2 years before being retired in 2016 due to a medical condition. Immediately after retirement, I dedicated myself to playing more golf with a goal of turning professional. I turned professional in winter of 2020 and have immersed myself in teaching and coaching, devoting more of my style to teaching juniors. As a father of two little girls, it is important for me to coach with the same enthusiasm and passion I would if I were teaching my own kids. I currently reside in University Place, WA (home of Chambers Bay) with my wife Richelle, daughters Lilyan and Laylah, our 3 dogs Lucy, DJ and Dash, and our rescue cat Brooks Kattka. I am currently serve as the Director of Junior Golf and Assistant Golf Professional at Canterwood Golf & Country Club.
