The club hosted the 1923 PGA Championship won by Gene Sarazen over Walter Hagen in the greatest final match in the history of the PGA. The golf course was originally designed by Devereux Emmett, updated over the years especially by Mike DeVries in 2019. It has small but excellent practice areas and a world class teaching program.
