Head Golf Professional at South Hils Golf CourseMonte Meyer was born in Elgin, IA but grew up in Cedar Falls, IA. He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1984. He then went on to play golf at the University of Northern Iowa while getting a degree in Financial Management, graduating in1989. Meyer was the assistant golf professional at Irv Warren from 1989-1990. He was the head golf professional at South Hills Golf Course from 1991-2018. He was then named the head golf professional for Golf Waterloo in 2018. In that same year he was named the Iowa Section Golf Professional of the year. This award is the biggest honor to an Iowa PGA golfer. He was chosen for this award based on his spectacular leadership abilities and excelling as an overall Golf Professional at the Iowa PGA Section level.
