My name is Rory Nelson and I am a native of Lucedale, MS who now calls Gulfport home. I graduated from George County High School in 2010. I played four years of college golf at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and William Carey University. I received my Associate's Degree in 2012 from MGCCC and my Bachelor's Degree in 2014 from William Carey. I started my career in the golf business in 2012 and got my first Golf Professional job at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg in 2014. I spent 2 1/2 years at New Orleans Country Club from 2014-2017 as an Assistant Golf Professional. I now serve as the Director of Golf at Windance Country Club where I have now been at since October 2017. I became a Class A PGA member in March of 2018. In 2020, I was awarded the Mississippi Chapter Golf Professional of the Year. I currently serve as the Mississippi Chapter Vice President.

I have always had a passion for golf and it was a no brainer for me to turn that love of golf into a career. When I am not running our golf operation here at Windance, I enjoy teaching and player development. We currently offer ladies clinics, men's clinics, PGA Jr. League, summer junior camps, and individual golf lessons.
