FAQs:

What is the difference between private lessons and coaching?

Private lessons are one on one with an instructor. The instructor gives information. The student determines the course direction and how often they will see the instructor or maintain contact. Golf coaching is where the golf professional determines what the student needs most and establishes an improvement plan particularly for that student’s individual needs. A coach requires accountability and commitment. The coach observes and creates a plan to bring to the surface the abilities that are in the student.

Do you offer private golf lessons?

Yes, private lessons are available. Group lessons may not be for everyone.

Do you offer group lessons?

Yes, group lessons are an excellent way to learn the game of golf. Golf is typically played in a group and when lessons are in groups it creates a more game like environment.

Do you offer on course training sessions?

Absolutely. On course instruction is the preferred method of teaching since the student is on the field of play in which the game actually occurs. Golf is the only sport I can think of where the student often learns the game in a place where the game is not played. The driving range does not provide a realistic game type environment. A golfer never stands in one place on the golf course repeatedly hitting the same shot on a flat, perfect lie.

What days and times are you available?

I am available most days of the week and have a wide variety of times available. We can always find a time that works for both the coach and the athlete.

Do you teach beginners?

Yes, I teach all levels of golfers and I am particularly fond of working with beginners. I love to see new people enjoy the game of golf. I provide clear and thorough explanations as well as an extra dose of patience.

Do you teach junior golfers?

Yes, junior golf lessons are available at a discounted rate. I work with juniors 12 years of age and older.

Do you use technology such as video, launch monitors, etc?

Yes, video instructional tools are available as well as a simulator, launch monitor and range finder. I also utilize the various apps which is a tremendous tool to maintain contact with my students and to provide instruction in between lessons.

Do you require a playing assessment for all your new students?

No, but it is preferable. An on-course assessment will show me exactly the areas of your game that need the most work. In nine holes of golf, strengths and weaknesses can clearly be discovered and a proper improvement plan can be developed.

EFFORT WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE EQUALS FRUSTRATION.
