About Scott

Growing up just outside the vibrant city of Chicago, I was always drawn to sports— specifically baseball, basketball, and golf. While golf started as just another outdoor activity, it quickly became my passion after high school, evolving into a lifelong pursuit of mastery.

My professional career began at Omni Tucson National in 2014, and my journey has recently come full circle. After serving as the Head Golf Professional at the prestigious Pine Canyon Club in Flagstaff, I moved to the Raleigh-Durham area with my wife and newborn son. There, I was fortunate to join the team at the Duke University Golf Club, where I was mentored by PGA Master Professional Ed Ibarguen. Training under one of the industry's most respected icons allowed me to refine my instructional philosophy and teaching career.

Now back home in Tucson and working out of Tucson City Golf, I bring nearly a decade of experience as a Class A PGA Professional. My approach is driven by a deep curiosity about the "why" behind the game: Why does the ball behave the way it does with each unique swing? That question ignited a decade-long deep dive into the mechanics and physics of the sport. It ultimately led me to complete the PGA PGM Program and earn my Class A certification—a milestone that turned my curiosity into a career and my passion into a mission to help others improve.

On the practice tee, I make every session focused and fun. Whether it’s a private lesson, a clinic, or a small group session, I tailor every moment to make your practice time more effective. You won’t just be hitting balls, you’ll be learning how to practice with purpose. With a relaxed, down-to-earth style and a commitment to your progress, I’ll help you develop the skills and confidence to carry your range game to the course.
