Simon W Hall
Director of InstructionOriginally from Herefordshire England, Simon started playing golf at age 6. He graduated from Texas State University in 1991 with BA's in Management and Marketing. Simon played golf for Texas State and Mary-Harden Baylor University, on full scholarships. During his college years, he was a two-year letterman on the Texas State golf team and played against some of the top PGA professionals such as Justin Leonard, Bob May, Kent Jones, Bob Estes and Payne Stewart. He has had the privilege of studying teaching techniques from some of the world's best instructors and players. Simon started his teaching career in 1985 at Bent Tree Country Club and Glen Eagles Country Club in Dallas. He studied under Eldridge Miles and David Price, as a golf professional. In 2006, Simon started Precision Golf Instruction in Colleyville and Grapevine. He has quickly become a trusted name in the game and has expanded his knowledge traveling all over the UK giving clinics and private instruction. He has been a guest on the BBC on several occasions. He was also the Director of Instruction for Total Golf Adventures for North Texas, an after school program for elementary and middle school aged kids. He believes the golf swing is not universal, in its look or feel, from one person to the next. Every individual has his/her own physical swing identity. Teaching success simply requires a trained coach to help the student understand and remove the things in his/her swing that do not effectively contribute to hitting the golf ball. Students will leave their session hitting the golf ball better than they did when they arrived and a better understanding of their own game. Simon works with students to develop an accurate plan to improve his or her game thru a building block approach and creates a relationship with each student that produces positive results. My teaching philosophy is easy for every student to understand and apply to his/her own game. I focus on the both the pre-swing and in-swing fundamentals. Keeping it simple is essential for every student regardless of your skill level. My main focus with every student is to start by building a solid foundation/set-up dependent upon the student's physical characteristics. Your swing itself will also be tailored to fit your characteristics, not a "model". When making changes to your swing, I will always explain why it needs to be done and how it will benefit you. Every player should be taught by tailoring his/her game to their primary physical characteristics of strength and flexibility. To really improve you need to practice 3 times a week for 20 minutes. Private lessons are available to all players.

Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club’s magnificent Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed championship golf course was carved from a pristine swath of land atop the highest point in Tarrant County.
