Meadow Brook Golf Club was founded in 1898 and is one of the oldest private golf clubs in Massachusetts. The initial layout consisted of five rudimentary holes on rented farmland. By 1912 the club members had acquired enough land to construct a more complete 9 hole golf course, which was laid out by Alexander Findlay, a Scottish golf professional and early golf course designer often called the “father of American golf”. While the golf course has undergone many changes and improvements over the decades, elements of that original routing are still visible.
