A native of Louisiana, Thomas T Wartelle turned pro after graduating with a BS in Agronomy from University of Louisiana in 1993. He is a PGA and WGTF Master Professional as well as a WGTF Course Examiner. Thomas’ career as a playing professional brought him around the world competing in Europe, Asia, South America, Canada and the USA. Thomas' has competed and/or taught golf in over 40+ countries around the world. He is an Honorary Member of the Brasil PGA, WGTF Hall of Fame, WGTF Top 100 Instructor, Callaway Top Club-fitter. He has presented his unique teaching style and philosophy to numerous PGA and professional entities globally including the Brasil PGA, PGA Costa Rica, Mexico, Taiwan, Japan, Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Austria, China, India, and UK to name a few.

Thomas is a renown master club-fitter / club repair having built his first set of clubs in 1982 when he was just 12 years old. He is a Callaway Master Certified Fitter and recently named Callaway Top 100 Club-fitter in the World. He is also a PING Certified Fitter.

He has been a professional for 30+ years. He has worked in the golf industry for 40+ years.

Thomas' golf career has been an unbelievable journey around the world as a player, instructor, and golf swing coach. He has given 25,000+ hours of instruction to 1000’s of students as well as other golf instructors around the globe. He has traveled the world training golf instructors teaching them how to teach golf using a unique system for learning that Thomas developed early in his career.

Thomas’ teaching philosophy and methods have been recognized as innovative and best described as a combination of "old style feel" with the latest in technology. Currently, he averages over 40+ hours per week instructing, club-fitting, seminars, player development, and club building / repair. The Golf Academy has become a destination point as clients travel from all over the world for instruction, club-fitting, or to just sit and have a cup of coffee as we grow the game. On any given day at our Academy one can find Tour Players, pro athletes, celebrities, junior golfers, locals, members, and any type of golfer who loves the game visiting TTW for a lesson, advice, club-fitting, club repair, or just a casual session about golf and the adventures golf takes us on.

Thomas instructs players of all levels; however, he is well known for training players who are serious about moving to the next level. This includes numerous professional tour players, college golfers, amateur champions, and high-level junior golfers. Training includes all aspects of the game with a focus on: mechanics, short game, tournament preparation, and fitness / speed training.

Thomas has been named to the WGTF Top 100 Instructors in the World list. In 2007, he was inducted into the WGTF Hall of Fame. He is a contributing writer for several golf publications and media.
