Sonoma Junior Golf Saturday - June 20
Ages: 8-12 Schedule: Saturday, 10am-12pm Format: Single Day Program This dynamic junior golf program is thoughtfully designed around Level One and elements of Level Two of Golf’s American Development Model (ADM). While primarily focused on Discover, Learn & Play (Level 1), we incorporate appropriate aspects of Develop & Challenge (Level 2) to support the natural overlap for kids ages 10-12. This ensures every child receives age-appropriate instruction while allowing more advanced or older participants in the group to be gently challenged. What Your Child Will Experience: Discover: Kids will explore the game through fun, engaging activities — trying different clubs, experiencing the joy of hitting shots, and learning basic rules and etiquette in a relaxed, pressure-free setting. Learn: Strong emphasis on golf fundamentals including grip, posture, swing mechanics, putting, chipping, and full swing development. We use fun drills, games, and properly sized equipment to build solid technique and coordination. Play: A major focus of every session! Kids will play fun on-course simulator games, short-hole formats, team challenges, and scoring activities to apply their skills in real golf situations and build confidence. Develop & Challenge (for ages 10-12): Older or more experienced kids in the group will be introduced to slightly more advanced concepts such as basic course management, simple shot shaping, increased focus on consistency, and more competitive games. This helps bridge the gap for those ready for the next stage of development without overwhelming younger participants. Program Highlights: Small group format for personalized coaching and attention Daily balance of skill drills and games Strong focus on fun, confidence building, sportsmanship, and making friends Development of movement skills, hand-eye coordination, and a lifelong love of golf Progressive challenges tailored to each child’s age and ability within the 8–12 range Led by experienced junior golf instructors following PGA/USGA American Development Model best practices By the end of the day, children will leave with a strong foundation in golf, improved skills, new friendships, and the excitement to keep playing. This blended approach ensures the program meets kids where they are developmentally — whether they’re just discovering the game or starting to challenge themselves further. Spots are limited! 🎯 Fundamentals of Grip, Posture, & Setup Build a Repeatable, Powerful Swing from the Ground Up The secret to a consistent golf game isn't a complex swing—it's a flawless foundation. This focused clinic is designed to strip away the guesswork and give you the rock-solid fundamentals that every great shot relies on. Hosted in our state-of-the-art indoor simulator bay, you will see exactly how perfecting your starting position instantly improves your ball striking. 📋 What You Will Learn The Grip: Discover how a proper lead and trail hand placement controls the clubface, eliminates a slice, and maximizes your power transfer. The Posture: Learn how to athleticize your stance to protect your back, create room for your swing, and maintain perfect balance. The Setup & Alignment: Master the exact ball position and body alignment for every club in your bag so you always target your mark. 🏌️♂️ Why This Class Matters Your setup acts as the launchpad for your golf swing.
